Hamish advises intergovernmental organisations and governments on managing the potential transformative impacts of emerging technologies. He is a Policy Advisor in the OECD’s Strategic Foresight Unit within the Office of the Secretary-General, where he leads the OECD’s Horizontal Initiative on Anticipating and Managing Emerging Global Transformations. Hamish was previously a Research Scholar focusing on emerging technology governance at Oxford University, an advisor to the Prime Minister of Australia, and an adviser to the UK Government’s Office for AI.
